The Sunreef 60 is what happens when a shipyard treats a catamaran as a floating apartment first and a sailboat second — and the result, done well, is one of the most enjoyable ways to spend a week at sea.
Sunreef Yachts (Gdańsk) has spent 20 years redefining the luxury cruising catamaran. The 60 sits at the heart of the range: 18 metres of length, 10 metres of beam, and a volume that comfortably exceeds a 24-metre monohull. In our charter fleet she is always specified crewed — captain, chef, and one or two crew.
Every 60 is essentially custom — layouts range from a full-beam owner suite forward with three guest cabins aft, to a symmetrical four-cabin configuration. Beach-club stern platforms fold down into a swim deck the width of the boat; the flybridge is a full outdoor lounge with dining and helm.
Under sail she is genuinely capable — a Sunreef 60 in 15 knots true does an easy 9 knots reaching — but most weeks are spent at 8-knot motoring cruise between anchorages where the yacht then unfolds into a floating villa.

If the group is six and wants to move quickly between destinations or wants a classic Italian yacht feel, we send them to the Sanlorenzo SD90 instead — more range, more speed, and the interior aesthetic that suits Portofino better. If the group wants the same lifestyle bareboat or skippered at a fraction of the cost, a Lagoon 46 or Leopard 52 delivers seventy per cent of the experience for a much smaller number.

The Leopard 52 is the bareboat/skippered version of the same lifestyle at a fraction of the operating cost. The Sunreef 60 is the same idea scaled up and fully crewed.

- What does a week cost, all-in?
- Total cost is base charter plus APA at roughly 25–30% for fuel, food, marina fees and sea toys, plus crew tips. Actual weekly rate depends on year of build, layout and season — we send a full costed proposal on request.
- Does it actually sail?
- Yes — a Sunreef 60 with a good captain will happily reach at 9 knots in 15 knots of true wind, and 6 hours under sail on a passage day is normal. She is a luxury cat, not a race boat, but she is not a motor sailer.
- How many guests?
- Eight guests in four cabins is the standard charter configuration. Owner-version boats go down to six.
- Where can it dock?
- Anywhere a 60-ft yacht with 10 m beam fits — which excludes a lot of Mediterranean marinas. Realistic plan: anchor most nights, marina one or two nights. Your captain will pre-book marina slots months ahead.
- How does it compare to a similar-price motor yacht?
- A 20-metre motor yacht at the same weekly rate has more speed and range but far less deck space and interior volume. The Sunreef trade is more space, less speed. For a slow Mediterranean or Caribbean week, most groups prefer the Sunreef.
