7 Days, Lavrion – Cyclades

A true Cycladic sailing adventure through the heart of the Aegean Sea — combining authentic Greek island atmosphere, iconic whitewashed villages, crystal-clear anchorages, elegant harbors, traditional tavernas and the vibrant energy of Mykonos. Compared with the calmer Saronic Gulf, this route feels more adventurous and open-sea oriented, with stronger Meltemi winds, longer sailing legs and the classic scenery the Cyclades are famous for.

Day 1 · Lavrion → Kea

The Closest Cyclade

Begin your journey from Lavrion Marina and ease into the rhythm of the Cyclades with a relaxed first sail to Kea — one of the closest Cycladic islands to Athens and a favorite weekend escape for Athenians. Kea combines elegant simplicity, beautiful sandy beaches, quiet coves and authentic Greek atmosphere far from mass tourism. The island is also known for its ancient stone Lion of Kea and archaeological remains of Ancient Karthea.

  • ·Swim stop: Koundouros Bay with turquoise water and granite coves
  • ·Highlights: Ioulida village, Lion of Kea, traditional tavernas overlooking the sea
  • ·Overnight: Korissia Harbor or Vourkari

Day 2 · Kea → Andros

The Greenest Cyclade

A longer and more open-sea sailing day brings you to Andros — one of the greenest and most elegant islands of the Cyclades. Unlike the dry postcard landscapes of the southern Cyclades, Andros offers lush hills, hidden valleys, stone villages and beautiful beaches. The island has a sophisticated yet authentic atmosphere and remains far less crowded than Mykonos or Santorini.

  • ·Highlights: Chora of Andros, neoclassical mansions, hidden beaches and mountain landscapes
  • ·Recommended: sunset dinner in Andros Town overlooking the sea
  • ·Overnight: Gavrio or Chora anchorage
03
Day 3 · Andros → Tinos

The Authentic Marble Island

Today's sail leads to Tinos — an island famous for its authentic Greek character, marble villages, artistic heritage and spiritual importance. Tinos is often considered one of the most authentic islands in the Cyclades, combining beautiful villages, dramatic landscapes and a refined culinary scene without the heavy tourism of neighboring islands.

  • ·Highlights: Panagia Evangelistria Church, traditional marble villages, Volax village and granite landscapes
  • ·Gastronomy: elegant local gastronomy
  • ·Recommended: exploring mountain villages and local tavernas
  • ·Overnight: Tinos Harbor

Day 4 · Tinos → Mykonos

The Glamorous Island

A short sail takes you to cosmopolitan Mykonos — the most famous and glamorous island of the Cyclades. Mykonos perfectly balances luxury lifestyle, beach clubs, nightlife and iconic Greek scenery. Whitewashed alleys, blue domes, boutique shopping and waterfront cocktails create a uniquely vibrant atmosphere.

  • ·Optional stop: Delos Island — legendary birthplace of Apollo and Artemis and one of Greece's most important archaeological sites
  • ·Highlights: Little Venice, Windmills of Mykonos, Scorpios and Nammos
  • ·Recommended: sunset cocktails overlooking Little Venice
  • ·Overnight: Tourlos Marina or Ornos Bay
05
Day 5 · Mykonos → Syros

The Aristocratic Capital

Sail towards Syros — the elegant administrative and cultural capital of the Cyclades. Syros feels very different from most Cycladic islands. Ermoupoli combines neoclassical architecture, marble squares and aristocratic atmosphere with authentic Greek island life.

  • ·Highlights: Ermoupoli, Vaporia district, Apollo Theater, marble streets and elegant mansions
  • ·Recommended: evening walk through Ermoupoli with dinner by the waterfront
  • ·Overnight: Ermoupoli Marina or Finikas

Day 6 · Syros → Kythnos

The Traditional Thermal Island

A more relaxed sailing day brings you to Kythnos — a quieter and more traditional island known for its natural bays and thermal springs. Kythnos offers a slower pace, peaceful anchorages and beautiful sandy beaches, making it a perfect contrast after Mykonos and Syros.

  • ·Highlights: Kolona Beach, Loutra thermal springs, traditional Cycladic villages
  • ·Recommended: swimming at Kolona Beach at sunset
  • ·Overnight: Loutra or Kolona anchorage
