During the 1980s it served as a base for Caribbean smuggling operations, and today visitors can snorkel above the famous wreck of a drug-runner's aircraft resting in shallow turquoise water just offshore. The wreck has become one of the most unique snorkeling sites in the Caribbean. Beyond its colourful history, Norman's Cay offers beautiful beaches, excellent swimming and some of the clearest water in the entire Exuma chain. Spend the afternoon snorkeling, beachcombing or simply relaxing beneath swaying palm trees. As evening falls, enjoy dinner under the stars and watch the sky transform into brilliant shades of orange, pink and gold.
